Soccer Portrait
The photo below is a portrait a took the other day. Most of the time with high school sports portraits I don’t have much time to take a photo because we go during their practices and I usually have only 10 minutes or less. I was looking to do something simple that let you know he was a soccer player without doing a boring photo with him holding the ball or the goal. So I opted to have him balance the ball on his head.

Waddell Dunk

Northeastern vs UW Bball
The Wyoming men’s basketball team made it to the College Basketball Invitational post season tournament after finishing the season 19-13. They played their first round game at home against Northeastern University at the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie on Tuesday, March 17th. Wyoming lost 62-64, here are a few shots from the game. BYU vs UW Bball
Last Wednesday BYU traveled to Wyoming to play in the second to last game of the regular season. BYU won 78-68, Wyoming also dropped their last game of the regular season on Saturday to New Mexico at home 73-74. I had off Saturday so the photos bellow are from the BYU game. Wyoming will play Thursday, March 12, 2008 against New Mexico (again) in the first round of the MWC Tournament in Las Vegas, unfortunately I won’t be there to cover it.

February 27-28
I had a few photos from late last week I wanted to post, so I figured I would just post them all in one. The pictures below are from the LHS boys celebrating a swimming the state championship, UW tennis started up (indoors until the weather is nicer), a service award banquet, and feature shot. I cover the UW and BYU men’s basketball game tonight so those will be posted in a few days.

Bball Returns
Wyoming assistant basketball coach Shaun Vandiver and forward Tyson Johnson walk off the court at the Arena-Auditorium during a basketball game earlier this season. The Cowboys return home against UNLV on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in hopes of stopping their four game loosing streak.
Finally I get to shoot another college basketball game tomorrow night. The last home game was a Cowgirls game this Sunday, but I don’t work that day so I missed out. The men’s team is back and they are on a four game loosing streak after a few tough road games and the last home game against Utah (Feb 7th). The season started out promising for the Cowboys but they have stumbled a little lately, hopefully they can rebound tomorrow night. They play UNLV which is one of the better teams in the Mountain West, so they are going to need some of that home court swagger they had earlier this season. I found this photo from a few games back and I thought it conveyed the message of the four game slide. I’ll be posting some shots from the game tomorrow nights game in a few days, check back then.
